Eight people were arrested on numerous drug charges after a search warrant was conducted on Wednesday, February 28.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Traffic Unit, Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Community Policing Unit, Aviation Unit, Lee and Charlotte County SWAT, and the Punta Gorda Police Department served a residential search warrant at 427 Showalter Ave in Punta Gorda.

As a result of their joint efforts, eight subjects were arrested on a variety of drug charges and transported to the Charlotte County Jail. While deputies were conducting their investigation, they located what appeared to be crack cocaine, Ecstasy, marijuana, numerous crack pipes and drug paraphernalia inside the residence. The main suspect, D’Maurio Williams, was additionally charged with Sale and Delivery of Cocaine and Maintaining a Public Nuisance.
