Punta Gorda’s latest park opened late last month…the Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens opened October 20th and offers a mix of several different types of gardens and contemporary art. The plan for the project started back in 2006, when Roger and Linda Tetrault and their Family Foundation funded the current 11 acres of gardens, with plans to now expand to 27 acres total. The park is at 5800 Riverside Drive in Punta Gorda and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors.
