The Riverside Oaks mobile home community in Punta Gorda has been sold for $10 million.
Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. bought the 102-space park this month from longtime owners Michael and Gina Cook. Northwestern Mutual already owns the 273-space Ventura Lakes community nearby on Jones Loop.
The insurance company is a major investor in the mobile home industry, having also paid $80 million for The Gardens of Parrish. According to the Herald-Tribune, that ended up being one of the biggest real estate deals of 2017 in Manatee County.
