An Allegiant Air plane bound for Punta Gorda was forced to make an emergency landing after a pilot suffered a seizure mid-flight.
Allegiant flight 1304 left Cincinnati and ended up making a landing in Gainesville yesterday morning.
The pilot was taken to an area hospital in good condition- an extra crew was sent from Orlando-Sanford to continue the plane’s now-brief journey to Charlotte County, where it landed around 230, nearly 6 hours late.
