Somebody called up the State Probation Office in Punta Gorda and claimed a bomb would be going off. That happened Monday afternoon and the office was evacuated. A police sweep of the building turned up nothing suspicious. The Englewood Sun reports that investigators traced the call to a woman who admitted making the threat because she was afraid her girlfriend would fail a drug test on Monday. 30-year-old Tiffany Beasley of Punta Gorda was arrested and was being held without bail at the Charlotte County Jail.
