The prosecutor in the case against former Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Frankie Bybee is looking for information that may be found in his cell phone and other personal devices. The attorneys are hoping to be able to gain access to Bybee’s login information to examine what may on the devices. Bybee is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder for his involvement in crimes against an elderly woman. The 46-year-old had befriended the victim, a 79-year-old Sarasota woman, while responding to a service call in October. Checks totaling roughly $65 thousand were allegedly fraudulently signed from the woman’s account and made out to Bybee. Bybee allegedly attempted to kill the woman by putting pills down her throat and trying to make it look at a suicide.
