Powerboat racing fans get to see double the events at next month’s Englewood Beach Waterfest.

The threat of Hurricane Matthew caused Offshore Powerboat Association officials to postpone the National Championship that was to take place in Ocean City, Maryland so now the Nationals will be held here on November 19 followed by the regularly scheduled World Championship the next day.

The Sun reports more than 40 powerboat racing teams are expected to be competing this year.
