The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating a possible murder-suicide.
It says it responded to the Solaris Healthcare Facility on Kings Highway in Port Charlotte early this morning.
The facility reported two people dead in one of the patient rooms.
The sheriff’s office has identified them as 81-year-old Frank Kavanaugh and 88-year-old Barbara Kavanaugh of Punta Gorda.
It says both of them had gunshot wounds.
