A 39-year old Port Charlotte woman faces charges after she accidentally ran over her son while dropping him off at school.
The incident happened in the parent drop off lane at Port Charlotte High School on Wednesday.
Police say Nadine Williams gave law enforcement a false ID, has a suspended license, and no insurance on her car. Williams allegedly told deputies she knew her license was suspended, but said “I have to drive. It’s not like I’m murdering or raping.”
Her son was treated for minor injuries.
