A 26-year-old man was killed in a Thursday afternoon crash near Rotonda West. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year old Michael Ryan Holland man was driving northbound on Gasparilla Road around 430pm when he crossed the center line and hit a Kia head-on. The driver of the Kia, an 80-year old North Port man, was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Holland was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
