A Port Charlotte man faces up to 14 years in prison after being found guilty Tuesday of felony assault and strangulation, misdemeanor assault and noncriminal harassment for a series of attacks on a woman he was involved with last June. 52-year old Scott Baber attacked the woman in upstate New York last summer, when he was up there for work. A jury deliberated for less than 3 hours before returning with the guilty verdict.
He faces up to 7 years in state prison on each felony charge when sentenced Jan. 5.
