A 19-year-old man from Port Charlotte was driving a sedan south on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County, Florida, at a high rate of speed. At approximately 2:45 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to enter the grass median embankment. The car went airborne and overturned. Unfortunately, the young man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
