A Port Charlotte man was arrested Monday after allegedly attacking his 68-year-old anger management counselor. According to the police report, 25-year old Michael Kelley called the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, claiming his counselor had stabbed him with a pen. The counselor, though, claimed Kelley was unhappy about paying $80 for the counseling session. Then, without warning, he lunged toward her and attempted to grab her confidential notes from the session with one hand and his money that was sitting on her desk with the other. He was charged with battery on a person 65 years of age or older, robbery by sudden snatching for attempting to take the money, and violation of probation.
