A Port Charlotte man is in jail facing charges following a police chase at speeds of up to 60 miles an hour on Cape Coral residential streets. 53 year old Dante Curtis is charged with battery, fleeing and eluding police and hit and run with property damage from the escapade. He did in fact elude chasing police. They found Curtis’ car in the Rumrunners restaurant parking lot on Cape Harbour Drive and found him inside where he was arrested and hauled off to jail.
