Some stolen beer from a Port Charlotte convenience store led to a police chase on Sunday night.
Police say two men- later identified as 26-year old Joshua Manning and 30-year old David Manning- ran out of the Wawa with three cases of beer and took off in a pickup truck. Surveillance video got the truck’s tags, which led police to a home on Starlite Lane.
As police went to the home, Joshua Manning took off speeding around the block to try and evade the officer before getting back to the house and running inside.
David Manning was arrested and charged with Petit Theft and Violation of Probation. Joshua Manning was charged with Petit Theft and Fleeing to Elude.
