The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit arrested a suspect in a vehicle burglary. They responded to El Jobean Road where the victim reported that tools were stolen from his vehicle. The value of the stolen property was roughly $1,500. Some odd surveillance video showed the suspect riding away from the property on a bicycle pulling a home-made trailer behind him. Detectives investigating found the suspect near Toledo Blade and Collingswood in Port Charlotte. The suspect is identified as 40-year-old Timothy Roberge, a convicted felon. Roberge is charged with armed burglary, grand theft, concealing/tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia and convicted felon fail to register. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail.
