There’s been a late entry into the race for one Venice City Council seat.
Planning Commission member Helen Moore filed to run against Fred Fraize on Wednesday afternoon.
She told the Herald-Tribune several people had approached her about running before she was finally convinced by a friend of hers.
She told the paper she didn’t even realize Fraize had filed for reelection to Seat 3 until she her herself went to City Hall to file her candidacy.
