PORT CHARLOTTE —A 9-year-old girl and another person 
were attacked by a Pit Bull and taken to the hospital today. The Charlotte County deputies and emergency medical responded to the emergency call on Riverhead Avenue in Port Charlotte.
The 9-year-old victim was flown to John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg for her injuries and the other victim, who was an adult was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
It is reported that the Pit Bull has been removed from the home. The investigation is on going.
