Pirate Poker Run Returns to Englewood Beach

Get ready to hoist the sails and join the fun at Englewood Beach Waterfest’s Pirate Poker Run — a swashbuckling adventure filled with prizes, food, music, and plenty of pirate spirit.
This lighthearted event celebrates Florida’s legendary pirate tales, offering participants the chance to travel by boat, car, or motorcycle while making seven exciting stops along the way.
Registration & Kickoff
Captain’s Party: Friday, Sept. 5, from 5–7 p.m. at Ken & Barb’s Grove City Kitchen (2000 Oyster Creek Dr., Englewood). Pre-registered players can pick up their Poker Run packages here. Onsite registration will also be available with drink specials and tastings.
Poker Run Check-In: Saturday, Sept. 6, from 8:30–10 a.m. at the Lighthouse Grill & Tiki Bar (260 Maryland Ave., Englewood).
All participants must complete a Hold Harmless Agreement at registration.
Event Schedule – Saturday, Sept. 6
Poker Run: Begins at 10 a.m. with seven fun stops. Chip dispersal ends at 3 p.m.
Poker Play & After Party: 4–8 p.m. at Lighthouse Grill & Tiki Bar.
Poker tents open 4–6 p.m. (all hands must be played by 6 p.m.)
Pirate Costume Contest & Best Pirate-Themed Boat Competition
Live music by the Marker 5 Band (5–8 p.m.)
Food & drink specials all night
Prizes
Best Hand: $500 cash
Second Best: $250 cash
Third Best: $100 cash
Plus prizes for the Best Pirate Costume and Best Pirate-Themed Boat.
