Starting July 1, Permitless or Constitutional Carry begins in Florida.
You must still meet certain requirements outlined in F.S.S. 790.06 but aren’t required to receive training or apply for a license.
Please note that this does this does NOT mean open carry. The firearm must be CONCEALED.
To carry a concealed firearm in Florida, you must meet the same criteria required to qualify for a concealed weapons or firearms license as outlined in F.S.S. 790.06.
ON JULY 1, 2023, HOUSE BILL 543, COMMONLY KNOWN AS “PERMITLESS CARRY” GOES INTO EFFECT.
You are not required to complete training or pay a licensing fee.
If you are traveling to another state, it is still your responsibility to know and comply with that state’s laws.
Florida Concealed Licenses are still valid and will still be issued to qualifying individuals.
Effective July 1, 2023, the State of Florida acknowledges all concealed firearm licenses lawfully issued by another state.
Restrictions remain in place on where it is unlawful to carry a firearm.
