OSPREY — A man was killed when he was struck by a car on U.S. 41 in Osprey, the Florida Highway Patrol reported Saturday.
The 42 year old was from Colorado, was waking on Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41), near the driveway at Casey Key Resorts last night.
According to witnesses the man “darted into the path” of a southbound car driven by a 22-year-old man from Palmetto.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
