Parents of students at Venice Christian School are fighting -again- to lower the speed limit around the school.
It took around a decade to lower the speed limit from 55 to 45, and is now down to 35.
But parents are still saying 35 is too fast- while public school zone speed limits are dropped to 15 miles per hour during drop off and dismissal, theirs is more than double that.
Parents and school staff plan to petition county commissioners at next week’s meeting to discuss a possible speed limit reduction.
