Federal Pandemic Aid will be heading to Charlotte County. this month. The first installment of $36.7 million in federal pandemic aid will be coming this month. The second is due in 2021.
Punta Gorda is also inline to get the the first half of its $2.4 million in May.
The federal U.S. Treasury announced the projected release of $350 billion for all governments to respond to the COVID-19 emergency. The goal is to strengthen the workforce. The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan became law 3 months ago.
DeSoto County will receive $7.4 million and Sarasota, $84.3 million.
