A collaborative effort between the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the seizure of a whole truckload of drugs and two people landing in jail.
A search warrant was executed on Kellogg Lane in Venice and Lauri Miller and Eric Jones were arrested on a number of charges. They are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of tetrahydrocannabinols, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. While at the home they found over 14 grams of methamphetamine, 19 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $1,600 in cash. And what can only be compared to television, or the movie Good Fellas, detectives found meth in the septic system of the home…100 grams worth, that they believe Miller dumped when they arrived.
