Operation Blue Roof Extended
In response to requests from the State of Florida and FEMA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has extended the deadline for homeowners impacted by Hurricane Milton to submit Right of Entry (ROE) forms for Operation Blue Roof. The deadline is now Thursday, Nov. 14, providing an additional nine days for residents to apply. Homeowners can sign up for this free service at www.BlueRoof.gov or by calling 1-888-ROOF-BLU (1-888-766-3258).
Operation Blue Roof offers a temporary solution to protect storm-damaged roofs, allowing homeowners to remain in their homes while arranging for permanent repairs. Unlike traditional tarps, the program uses fiber-reinforced, industrial-grade sheeting for enhanced durability.
To apply, homeowners must complete an ROE form, granting USACE and its contractors permission to access the property and install the Blue Roof material. Please note that not all roof types qualify for this program. For more details, visit www.BlueRoof.gov.
