One person has died after a crash Saturday night on Interstate 75 in North Port. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9pm abour four miles south of the Toledo Blade Boulevard exit. A car heading north drifted off the road, went across the median, then hit a guardrail and flipped over in the southbound lanes. Debris from that car then hit the windshield of a southbound car. No one inside that vehicle was injured. Troopers have not yet identified the person killed as they work to notify next of kin.
