One person has died after a small, single-engine plane crashed in Lee County on Monday afternoon. Lee Co. officials say the plane made a mayday call less than 15 minutes after taking off from Page Field before crashing near Bonita National Golf Course. There were no passengers on the plane. The FAA is now investigating the cause of the crash.
