North Port plans on sponsoring a program for entrepreneurs.
The next class in the MicroEnterprise Program from Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida starts Apr. 4.
Charlotte Technical Center in Murdock hosts this course, which lasts six weeks.
Classes happen twice per week.
Kirsten O’Donnell from Goodwill tells the North Port Sun that those with “low” or “very low” incomes could take the course for free.
Those who participate can develop business plans with the help of an experienced business owner.
Topics include accounting, law, marketing, and funding.
