July is national parks and recreation month, and the City of North Port is looking for help in naming a new playground.
Throughout this month, the city is asking for nominations for the new eventual “boundless playground.”
That facility has been designed for kids of all ages and capabilities, including those with physical, developmental, cognitive and sensory disabilities.
Construction is already underway at the Garden of the Five Senses off Pan American Boulevard and is expected to be completed sometime in November.
At the end of the month, the nominations will be compiled and residents will vote on their favorite name.
