Two North Port residents are facing animal cruelty charges after they put their pet cat in checked luggage. 21-year old Olivia Sari and Nicholas Larrison were flying from Erie, PA to Tampa when a TSA agent spotted the bag among a bag filled with clothes and other items. The pair were headed back to their home in North Port after being in Pennsylvania for the holidays. They now face charges of transporting animals in a cruel manner. The cat was turned over to a local Pennsylvania Humane Society.
