Police in North Port have identified the man involved in a three-hour standoff Wednesday.
Police say 28-year old Clayton Waidelich was spotted driving a stolen Nissan, and fled when police tried to pull him over. He ran and went inside a home in the 3900 block of Cuthbert Avenue.
Around 5pm, police entered the home and found the 28-year old hiding behind bags of clothing in a closet.
He faces a long list of charges including petit theft and resisting arrest.
