The city of North Port has been named the second-safest city in Florida, that according to SafeHome.org. The wesbsite looked at a variety of factors, including the number and types of crimes committed, police per capita, as well as unemployment rate, median income and education level. The city also ranked in the top 25 percent of all cities with 50K or more people in the nation. The safest city in Florida? Weston, with a safety score of 91.42 and raking in the top fifth percentile in the U.S.
