Fire crews in North Port were out early Wednesday to contain a large mulch fire. Officials say the blaze broke out overnight along Joe Jeff Street in the North Port Estates area. Smoke was reported, along with reduced visibility, along I-75 from Sumter Boulevard to Toledo Blade Boulevard. The area is expected to continue smoldering for days.
