A North Port man is facing felony animal neglect charges after deputies found two malnourished dogs at his home that were infected with parasites.

Police went to the home of 40-year old Brian Eichmann after the sheriff’s office got a call about poor conditions inside the home.

Officials say the house was covered in urine and feces with multiple dogs, cats, reptiles and spiders inside. One of the dogs had to be euthanized, the other continues to get medical care.

Eichmann was released on $10,000 bond. He faces two felony counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
