A North Port man had to be airlifted to an area hospital after his e-cigarette exploded in his pocket.
The man was rushed to Blake Medical Center with severe burns ater the vaping device exploded in his back pocket. The man’s identity and condition were not released.
According to the U.S. Fire Administration, it’s a bit more common that you may think. More than 200 fires or explosions have led to 130 injuries since 2009. Back in May, another Florida man was killed when his vape pen exploded.
