North Port’s new boundless playground opened over the weekend.

A ribbon cutting took place Saturday morning at the Garden of the Five Senses on Pan American Boulevard.

The playground is designed for both children and young adults with disabilities and has special slides, swings, and other specialised playground equipment.

The park, which cost the city around $600,000, also has what’s called a ‘pour and play’ surface that makes it easily accessible to those in wheelchairs.
