North Port’s police chief has returned from the White House.
Kevin Vespia has participated in the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing.
He and Capt. Chris Morales have shared the department’s strategies, including its social media presence that won it a national award.
Vespia has described the briefing to WBBH-TV as “very enlightening.” He says he has come away from the experience with some good ideas.
