One woman has been charged in connection with a Wednesday night shooting in Nokomis.
On Thursday, police arrested 49-year-old Michele Brienza of Nokomis and charged her with two counts of battery.
She was held briefly on just $1,000 bond before being released. As of now, Brienza is the only person charged, though police say “several others” are involved.
Additional charges are pending in the case.
