Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reported the capture of a nine-foot Python. The snake was spotted slithering across Cougar Way in East Englewood near the Ainger Middle School.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife authorities said they will examine the python to determine if it was a pet or it is from the python population from the Everglades.
Pythons have been found in Lee and Collier counties. Only breeding snakes have been captured in Collier County.
