The grand opening of Venice’s new public library is now less than two weeks away.

A ribbon cutting celebration is set for next Saturday, the 15th.

Crews are spending much of this week moving materials like books and magazines from the Hamilton building to the new location.

The new, $8.8M library is on the same site as the old building on the Venice Cultural Campus.

The Hamilton building, which has been serving as a temporary home for the library, will close for good this coming weekend.
