With just about three months to go until the Atlanta Braves play their first game at their new spring training facility in North Port, a new traffic signal went up this week.
The signal on Tamiami Trail and Corradino Boulevard went up on Thursday, the first of many new lights in the area.
Next month, the city is expected to add another light at Tamiami and West Villages Parkway.
Marty Black, the Chairman for West Villages, told ABC-7 the developers in the area are paying for the upgraded traffic signals, not the city or state.
