New College of Florida gets some national accolades.
U.S. News & World Report just issued its “Best Colleges 2016” edition, in which New College finished fifth among the nation’s best liberal arts schools.
This marks the 12 straight year New College has finished in the magazine’s top six. Earlier this month, Washington Monthly named the Sarasota honors college 20th in the nation among liberal arts schools, and in August, The Princeton Review listed it among the top 15 percent in its rankings.
Another honor was based upon a “Least Debt” for graduates. The class of 2015 had an average debt of $14,929, that’s the seventh lowest in the country.
