The man convicted back in 2015 in the 2001 killing of 19-year old Tara Sidarovich has reached a plea with federal prosecutors on an unrelated crime. 47-year old Philip Barr, who’s already serving a life sentence in the murder case, had been set to go to trial in Vermont last week on firearms charges. When US Marshals caught up with Barr in 2012, they discovered he was in possession of a pair of guns- a felony, as Barr was already a convicted felon at the time. Although he’s serving a life sentence- should he ever get out, he would face up to 10 addition years in prison in Vermont.
