A crash over the weekend in Port Charlotte killed a man.
The highway patrol says it happened Saturday at Veterans and Loveland boulevards.
Authorities have identified the driver as 78-year-old James Dunn of North Carolina.
They believe he swerved in and out of traffic until a tractor-trailer slammed into his car.
Dunn died at the scene.
