The man who police say killed his girlfriend, then tried to light her van on fire on I-75, will have his trial in Hillsborough County. Police say Michael Clark, of Brandon, killed his girlfriend, Kristen Kelley, then lit their car on fire. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation began on October 15th when they found Kelley’s dead body inside a burning minivan along I-75 in Osprey. Clark was the driver of the van and claimed he didn’t know how the fire began or how Kelley had died. The case will be moving out of Sarasota County after his attorney argued that detectives can’t confirm where the girlfriend’s death took place.
