MANATEE COUNTY- A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a two-vehicle accident.
According to the FHP, 55-year old Scott Audette of Palmetto was traveling south in a left turn lane on U.S.19. At the same time, 20-year old Joseph Koch of Brooksville was traveling north on U.S. 19 on his motorcycle. Audette attempted a left turn onto 49th Street E. in front of Koch. Koch attempted to avoid a collision, but both he and his motorcycle slid under Audette’s vehicle.
Koch died in the accident, which remains under investigation.
