Deputies are investigating after a man held up a Sarasota bank earlier today.
It happened at the Liberty Savings Bank on Stickney Point Road around 10am. Deputies say the man came in and handed the teller a note implying he had a weapon. He never showed a weapon and later ran from the bank heading east.
The man is described as black, 6 foot tall with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans, which were rolled up to the calf, a blue button-up shirt and a blue and green sunhat. If you have any information, contact the sheriff’s office at 941-861-4900.
