More details were released Monday about a murder case in North Port.
On Friday, police went to a home in the 13-thousand block of Tamiami Trail for a report of a deceased woman. There, they found 41-year old Erica White, who had been stabbed to death.
Her boyfriend, 43-year old Jason Doty, led police to her body inside the house. After questioning, he was charged with a long list of crimes including second degree murder. He’s being held without bond.
