Christmas comes early to Florida SouthWestern State College, thanks to a Charlotte County man. The Englewood Sun reports that philanthropist Alvin Gould is donating one-million dollars to be used for scholarships at FSW and to benefit the school’s Punta Gorda campus. In a news release on the school’s website, FSW president Jeff Allbritten said the bequest will–quote–“positively impact our students on our Charlotte campus.” And Gould stated that–quote–
“Charlotte Campus FSW students and graduates grow the Charlotte County economy and constantly ensure and promote a better quality of life for all of us.”
