Law enforcement says seven people allegedly participated in a massive organized theft ring.

This ring supposedly covered Charlotte and Manatee counties and 24 other counties in Florida.

It also apparently it Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Investigators say the suspects stole nearly $179,000 worth of merchandise from Walmarts.

WFLA-TV reports they have counted 135 thefts.

The investigation began two years ago when the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a tip. It had to do with an organized retail crimes group committing early morning thefts of electronics at multiple Walmarts in the area.

While they have identified seven suspects, investigators say this may involve more people.
